SPI/Soldier’s Personal Illuminator
A multi purpose self powered illuminator providing the soldier with a low level light from a single source.
The Soldier’s Personal Illuminator (SPI) can be used as:
Torch; Map Reader; Personal Marker; Route Marker; Aiming Post.

SPI is supplied complete with a neck cord and clip attachment and the robust, lightweight design makes it remarkably easy to use. Simply rotating the outer sleeve gives four lights from a single source – no power supply required. SPI provides a controlled light source ensuring maximum security against detection.
Illumination is provided by Betalight (GTLS), a glass capsule internally coated with phosphor and filled with Tritium gas, activating the phosphor particles.
SPI has a low level light source ideal for soldiers to read maps, signs, fuses and sight graduations without losing the advantages of night vision.
